Probably just all car chases and explosions I suppose. They'll get an English guy to play the bad guy as per usual. I can just imagine the tagline, 'He's back, and this time he's not turning the other cheek!'

yeah, although I apologise for my rather obvious thread jacking for a few cheap jokes.
I haven't heard much about the movie, although with that title and content, there is going to be a lot of controversy, no matter what the theme or way it reflects the religion. Just my tuppence worth.
Can I go back to making cheap jokes now?π

My pastor saw the movie. He has mixed feelings about it, and I anticipate I will as well.
'I don't like that the most violent movie I've ever seen was a Christian one,' he said, and I think I can agree with him there.
I remember seeing a movie called Jesus 2000 or something like that and being overwhelmed by the depiction of Christ's passion. That depiction, however, was tame in comparison to what I've heard about Gibson's film.
I will surely watch the movie, and will undoubtedly be emotionally fractured for days. Jesus is a person I love, and a graphic portrayal of His torture and execution will be hard for me to watch π (for empathy's sake, the non-Christian can imagine a movie about the suffering death of one of his or her own loved ones).
But now I'm getting far too serious. I enjoyed your posts my friend, and my post, about the *cough* 'theology' in this thread, was not directed at your posts.

I remember the last temptation of christ a few years ago went to watch it and it was boring. Yet had people slating it for its content. But incase you havent read the book he dies and promises ill be back, and everybody did it. If you canot guess
I haven't seen The Passion of Christ yet. One thing I find most interesting is how the church is now riding piggy-back on Mel Gibson's coat tails. Yet, ask their opinions about Mad Max, Lethal Weapons, etc. If this movie is as good as churches and religious leaders say it is, then it needs to be said that secular Hollywood, as they are fond of saying, did a better job presenting raising awareness of Christ than the church has done. I have yet to hear anyone say that.
