Honestly didn't know it was even word until that guy.

I once heard this woman say "boughten" as past-tense of "bought". I swore that wasn't a word until she brought out dictionary. Mind was blown.

So if "bigly" and "boughten" are words, I guess "glowly" and "soughted" must be be too.

I disagree.

I don't think they are "less popular" at all. They are extremely popular among the upper income brackets and upper ages. QEII was the last big, BIG fan of them to be sure, but they are making inroads among the younger generations still. They are still huge at debutante balls, as you might imagine.

As ZZ Top fades from the mainstream, so does this "slang" meaning of the term.

Superlatives are generally the first to begin losing their meanings.

Overuse as well. Everything's got to be the "best", or the "most" something.
