I've been playing chess for years face to face, and I've been playing on RHP for quite a few years now. I have never before heard of a half move. Am I missing something?? What the heck is a half move??

This is the number of moves without a piece being taken or a pawn being moved. ie. One half move would be a move by either yourself or your opponent, two half moves would be one move each.
I suppose it is showing under ‘game details’ to help players know when they can claim a draw under the 50 move rule (ie. 100 half moves.)

I get it now. It was a nuance in the game I didn't know about.
    Thanks
