Just don't log out.

Easy peasy.

Also you might find it handy to enable Multiple Clients in Site Settings.

Privacy mode will prevent persistent cookies...which means you log yourself out when you finish your session.

Is this an upcoming feature and will it be mandatory?

I like being able to access RHP on my tablet, my computer or my phone without always having to log in.

I presume you will be able to disable "privacy mode."
Having to log in every time would be a retrograde step.
