Why doesn't sorting games by "Least Time Remaining" sort the games by least time remaining?

I have my games sorted by least time remaining. And the sorting is weird. It is as if it started sorting, but gave up. Most of the games with low time remaining are at the top, but a few are in the middle and sometimes 1 or 2 will be near the end.
And looking at the order, it is all over the place. Games with 6 days remaining are a lot higher up the list than games with 1 day remaining.
Is there some kind of setting I need to change or is the sorting broken?

Well that sucks. It is not what I was expecting at all.

edit: I tried sorting by "Least Timeout Remaining" and that seems to do what I expected.
