Been having a rough time of it lately in the my latest 'Hardcore'.
So far have managed to lose over 100 gp's. Which I blame solely
on myself for playing a group of weak moves when I was a bit tipsy,
going for one opening trap too many, just missing things or a few
times simply getting outplayed by someone playing better chess.
However, a few of the games have been sparkling, so no complaints.
This one does not sparkle, it barley blinks. I was going to resign.
It aint over till the fat lady sings. I kept her waiting in the wings.

Should have lost me the game. 15.Rf1 was the move.} 15... Bc5 16. Ne4 {I've lost the exchange. Try to get active.} 16... Nxb3 17. axb3 Bxf2+ 18. Kxf2 Nd5 19. Bd2 Rfe8 20. c4 {If 20...Rxe5 I resign. I like these hardcore all moves in 21 days. They are crazy.
I was lucky in Game 13301426 opponent dm7 rated at 1220.
I'm Black to move.
I quickly decided it was OK to take the pawn 23...Rxa5 making mental note
if RxR RxR Rb8+ do not go to Kg7 else Qc3+ picking up what ever is on a5.
Having spotted the shot (do not play Kg7) I sent 23...Rxa5 then I sat there
wondering what was bugging me. And you see....What?
Luckily White missed it. (luck plays a big part in 'Hardcore'. )
This game ended (I won) on a slightly disappointing note.
Here
My opponent allowed me to mate in one. I was hoping for the Queen sac.
38.Qd3 Rg1 39.QxQ Rxg3 mate.
And here Game 13301259 I lost to a 1350 player who must think I'm mad.
My Queen for 3 pieces sac has more holes in it than 'Blackburn, Lancashire'
(see I can do Beatle jokes when I want to.) I play a whole load of junk sometimes.
