I'm at present playing Joe von Pyehoo with 14 day moves, 14 day time out.. he takes the full 14 days to make any move...in all his games. I think he relies on people getting bored with the game and resigning.....I wont....

No he doesn't expect you to get bored. He expects you to...

This is a frequent complaint. You can search through the Forums.

In fact you agree to a time frame. As long as your opponent keeps the agreed conditions all is well.

If you want faster games, just offer those, and do agree only to games with the appropriate timings.

it's up to you to never enter games with such a long time to move. My top choice is 2 days a move, but there are very few tourneys available. Most are either one day per move or three days per move. If a person can't answer in three days, he/she shouldn't be playing online chess..

I can recommend some good cheese to compliment the spirit of the OP:

    Gouda
    Ricotta
    Camembert
    Young Cheddar
    Tomme d'Alsace

And if you're really stuck, there's always Brie.

Don't get me started on those users who select one day time controls then complain their opponent moves too fast.

    Wensleydale, Gromit!

Although if you want nightmares, I recommend port Stilton. Not normsl Stilton, that's innocent enough. It must be the port-infused kind.

But, and this is critical on this forum: always after moving, never before!

I won't play any 14/21/28 games. I have better things to do than wait for some guy taking half a year to play.
