White cannot move the knight, because of the problem in my solution above (the check after sacing the knight). So where can White move the king?
    1. Kc4....Blac ...[text shortened]... Nf6 4. Ne4+. Very nice indeed (I hope it's correct this time 🙄 )
    Yes, that's it 😉.
    Very well a real classic:

everything's right except the NxP, which is a dead draw after ...NxP, Qa2, Na5, c4!, keeping the queen at a2, defending the rook, and making it a draw, unless i haven't seen far enough to find that the knight can still take the rook with the queen at a1, but i don't think so

Nice. Rephrased: white gives everything away he can and draws.

    1. Bc3 Ra2 (the rook has to keep attacking a bishop every time to prevent gxh3)
    2. Bb3 Ra3
    3. Bc4+ Ke3 (this is the longest; 3. ...Kd1 4. Bb2 and gxh3; 3. ...Kf2 4. Bd4+ and gxh3.)
    4. Bb4 Ra4
    5. Bc5+ Ke4
    6. Bb5 Ra5
    7. Bc6+ Ke5
    8. Bb6 Ra6
    9. Bc7+ Ke6
    10 Bb7 Ra7
    11. Bc8+ Krandom
    12. Bb6 Rrandom
    13. Bxh3 and white promotes his pawn.

It has to do with a stalemate 😲

edit: oh, you are right though, but what is your 3rd move after 2.. Ke3?

    1. e6 g3
    2. Bf7 Ke3!?

white needs to protect the h1-a8 diagonal AND occupy the promotion square to win. So:

    3. Be8! Kf2
    4. Bc6! and white wins.

Indeed, after 4...Be2!? 5.e7 Bf1 6.e8N! white wins. This was a study by Yakimchik. Okay, let's try something a bit more chalenging:

Well, 1. Bg5 seems good for starters, it blocks out the black rook, defends the pawn, and d2 is now free for the white rook.

    1. Bg5 b3?!
    2. Rd2+! (2. f7? b2+ =) Ka1
    3. f7 and f8Q wins.

    Better for black seems
    1. Bg5 Rg8
    2. Rd2+! (don't know if white wins after 2. f7!? Rc8+) Kb3
    (2. ...Ka1 loses to 3. f7 Rf8? 4. Bf6# and Ka3 also isn't good: 3. f7 Rf8 4. Rf2 b3? 5. Be7🙄

    3. f7 Rf8
    4. Rf2 a3
    5. Bh6 a2
    6. Rf3+! Ka4/c4
    7. Kb2 wins.
