The Elevator

Most early evenings, Jane pushes the button to call the elevator. When the doors open, the Jane enters and pushes button #1. The Jane leaves the elevator when the doors open and goes home.

In the mornings, however, Jane pushes the button to call the elevator, enters, pushes a button, goes up, leaves the elevator...

and then walks several flights of steps to get to her office!

Why does she walk up the stairs and not down the stairs? It's not for the exercise.
