Each month, a game could be chosen and highlighted with commentary on the moves provided by the chess experts here. The chosen games could be crazy games, examples of brilliant end game, or maybe a rarely played opening or gambit.

After a game is completed, the players could agree to nominate their game for game of the month by presssing a button, or a drop down menu that says, "nominate for game of the month" You could limit it to just one nomination per month per player to keep the numbers down.

Then a panel of volunteers/mods would review the games and pick the first one they think is interesting or just have one person choose instead of a group. The person could hold the position for one game or one year depending on the interest in the commenting job.

    This Approach has ist Problems:

What would the criterion for a game of the month be?

Would you want to nominate a game, where you blundered?

Good Players won't nominate theirs, siince the y know it was not really brilliant.
Weak Players will nomitae theirs since they are ignorant of what a brilliant move/combination is.

Greenpawn goes through games accoring to positions or similarieties.
If you really want to Show us good games do chekc games of the top Players and look for the brilliancies.
I certainly can't (being too weak)

The sheer volume of games played at RHP every month is daunting; no one is going to sift through them all. Whereas a feature to attract self-nominated games would probably draw the same dozen or so people every month.

I suggest you start a blog of your own selection of notable games to test the waters.
