    As a fellow frustrated blog author, I noticed my comrade greenpawn34 was having some problems with the built-in RHP PGN viewer.

    This is from the latest Blog 4. For me, the comment "Checkmate" shows up after black's 4th move, even though it's after white's 5th move in the PGN.

    I added another comment after black's 4th, but it was overwritten by the 'Checkmate' that should be after w5.

    I took the inner spaces out. So all you really need is a space between the notation and the brace.

    Maybe it's a spacing issue?

    Yes! That works. All I did was add some spaces around the braces.
    OLD - 4. Kf4 Kd6 {please don't overwrite me!} 5. Kf5{Checkmate.}
    NEW - 4. Kf4 Kd6 { please don't overwrite me! } 5. Kf5 { Checkmate. }

    Russ, you should send me the PGN viewer code so I can make it a bit more robust. 🙂

    Hi SG

    I actually correct it before I saw this.
    Yes where you put the space is important, if you get too many wrong you
    can have the note that should be after move 15 appearing at move 8 or 9.

    I now use ChessPad version 2.0.2 to do all my stuff.
    There is no tweaking at all to get it posted on here, the trouble starts
    when you add notes after you post it. I added the checkmate and forgot the space.

    You can get some interesting positions with the fens'

    Same position just stick another [fen] infront of it and you get this.

    and another and you get.

    All (ok, most) of this code has been rewritten for new UI anyway - I'll test this against it. It’s a long time coming, but I decided to roll out as one big update – feature creep along with other commitments has delayed it considerably.

    No Rush Russ

    I enjoy doing the work arounds. It's the only fun I get these days.
