    Are they called http commands? Like bolding and italicising and hiding and today I see this: Time For Chess in blue, as a clickable link -- is there a list somewhere of all the ones that can be used on RHP?

    They are similar to html tags. In html, you would use <b> and </b> instead of [ b ] and [ /b ].
