A dead chunk of rock rolling around our planet, we've watched it for a long time. It speaks to us of the seasons, it helped us understand and control our environment, and it is crucial for our spirit, a visible stepping stone between us and the heavens.
There are so many names for the moon! The phases of course, full quarter sliver new.

The blue moon (2nd full in the month), black moon (2nd new in the month), and so on I'm sure.
But the bad moon is different from all that. Bad moon is not about the moon. Trouble is on the way. Nature moving. Or you might be the cause.

The moon doesn't cause the seasons. We didn't always have i-phones and light pollution, so watching the sky used to be of great importance. Maybe it helps that I don't have an i-phone and do live in a rural area. And start my day at 4:20 am.
I like the fairy moon. You might know it as moon rings or moon bows. It is caused by moisture in the air which is nice to see in a desert region like here. Plus its pretty. I'm never quite sure when to use the apostrophe in its.

So how does the moon "speak to us of the seasons"?
