You got that one backwards. The rapist is required to marry the women, but only if she is in agreement. Otherwise, the rapist will be put to death.

(Bible) I also do have issues with some translations but overall I think the bible and the truths in it are intact and very close to the original manuscripts. I think doctrinally sound and a lot of apparent contradictions can be explained. "I sayeth unto thee, ye must become member of the Jehovah's Witness organisation in order to go to heaven"
