I'm a pilot, so I have a piloting analogy.

God is my co-pilot. God can help me pilot the plane but if I'm bound and determined to ignore danger signs and crash the plane, well, God can't and won't stop me.

I was flying with my instructor one day and the weather wasn't so great. I had flown only about 5 hours or so of total flight experience and I was taking off in drizzle and wind and was bothered by our little plane being bounced around pretty badly.

We're climbing and going into a crosswind formation and my instructor said "Let go of the controls!". I let go and while we were still being bounced around by the wind, it wasn't nearly as bad as when I was controlling the yoke. My instructor said "See? You're over-controlling."

God is my co-pilot. Usually the people I talk to, when they speak of God's influence in their lives, are either crashing the plane or over-controlling it.

I agree. But it would seem that we should have an understanding of what will happen and how it will all affect us and what we might need to know to survive it.
If any of you get a chance to see a new documentry on the PLGN channel that is called the "11th Hour". It really makes on see that we do need God to step in soon to save this planet.

There's no salvation for the planet my friend. Jesus will return and establish His Kingdom forever. Then there will be peace.
