what a great game. But i would rather hear from a padre fan verifying the obvious that hoffman has never saved a big game in his life. The last two games of this season, the World Series aginst the Yankees, the AL Star game. Maybe it is Sports Illustrated curse of being called the greatest ever. But you'd think the guy would get a save once ina while.

Colorado was rolling at the end of the season, San Diego was failing. I was surprised the game was so close.

Can we blame it all on Hoffman? There was a throwing error that allowed the go-ahead run. I was switching from NE Pats to the game.... and went to bed before either ended.

I wasn't blaming hoffman for the loss because Peavy on regular rest stunk too. I was simply saying that Hoffman's greatness really needs to be questioned. His team was in a position to win two days in a row and he blew both games including a two run lead last night. Furthermore, they were not bloop hits either. He was awful. My reference to the Allstar game was he lost one of the All star games in recent years that cost the NL home field advantage. Those are a lot of games in the limelight where he stunk.

Dan Schulman of ESPN was interviewed on my sports radio, and says this was one of the top 5 games he ever saw.

Anyone think that Matt Holliday didn't touch home plate on the last play?

    That's FACT

The umpire was late with a call, and when he didn't see the runner reach back... he called OUT!

How about the baseball that bounced of some cripple's wheelchair? There is no baseball that bounces like that off foam.

You are not packed yet?! These guys are REAL!

Seems Yankees are down right now... someone was kind enough to get thrown out at second on a steal while Sabathia was working on his 65th pitch in the 2nd inning.

    3-1 Cleveland last checked.

What a great game. As much as I MIGHT want to see Sox Yanks in the ALCS... I can't help but hoot and holler when they go down.

The Tribe is rolling, either team scares me.

Sox were tide not long ago, I had to take a baseball break after some hefty channel surfing from Sox to Yanks for the past hour or so.
