After the 1969 season, Joe Robbie, owner of the Miami Dolphins, signed Shula to a contract to become Miami's second head coach. As a result of Shula's signing the team was charged with tampering by the NFL, which forced the Dolphins to give their first round pick to the Colts.

Also, everyone seems to think this is an isolated thing that only the Pats did... it's not. Just last year the Pats asked the Jet's camera man to move from where he was.
Jets decided to go a step further and called in the NFL league. Carma is taking care of the jets for being little hypocritical snitches... as you can see from their record.
You can't attribute everything the Pats are doing to cheating, you're foolish of you do. Most every team steals signs, and that's not making any of them the dominant team that NE is.

(1) his head size grew
(2) his body type changed
(3) he was indicted
(4) Sheffield admits he got steriods from him
(5) his homerun output doubled at a time when traditional home runs decrease
(6) it is all documented in a book written by award winning journalists
(7) his buddy is in jail because he refuse to testify truthfully about his dealings with Bonds
I am not sure what proof means to you. But at any rate, the Patriots were "convicted" of cheating and whether you like it or not cheating taints their accomplishments.
