    I think it is interesting that the AL home run records are:

    Single Season: Maris 61

    Lifetime: Ruth 714 - whatever he hit for the Braves.

    EDIT: He hit 6 for the Braves, so 708.

    I think it is interesting that in the era of steroids/ HGH, small ball parks, juiced balls, year round training, 162 game season that the single season and career AL homerun records stand from eras past.
