Los Angeles is one of the two biggest markets out there and they got a better catcher in Brad Ausmus for 1/5th of the price of Varitek.

Are you saying that being in a big market gives you the right to do stupid things? Or is it just shrewd business sense that causes you to overpay for something simply because you can?
