We are still the best icehockey nation in the world. Last year we played in Olympic finals and now World series finals. In both we lost because of bad luck and very bad referees (swedish referee=bad idea)

No. Historically speaking, Russia is still the most successful hockey nation in the world in international hockey. It has the most golds from the Olympics and the Worlds in modern times. If the current team stays together they'll beat Canadiens in Canada in the next year's Championship.

no, soviet union had the most championships. russia doesn't have much of a hockey history. and they lost to finland this time.
