We are still the best icehockey nation in the world. Last year we played in Olympic finals and now World series finals. In both we lost because of bad luck and very bad referees (swedish referee=bad idea)

Oh well, defeating the Russians in semifinals and seeing the Swedes
being defeated by the Russians for the bronze is PRICELESS. A true joy.

Also laughing on the face of the Russians who were in the Senate
Square for the Eurovision thing was very nice 😀

Edit. Darvlay, PM me your address. My sister is on the way.

Ah, it's cool. You can keep her. We've had our way with the Finns enough for one season.

No. Historically speaking, Russia is still the most successful hockey nation in the world in international hockey. It has the most golds from the Olympics and the Worlds in modern times. If the current team stays together they'll beat Canadiens in Canada in the next year's Championship.

no, soviet union had the most championships. russia doesn't have much of a hockey history. and they lost to finland this time.

Why make a distinction in this case? Almost every national player was from Russia proper anyway.
