Here's another prediction, he'll do sweet F.A. for whatever team gets him. Just like he did for Nashville in the playoffs last year.

Teemu Selanne is back with the Ducks and unlike Forsberg, he will make an impact.

Find out just how healthy peter is in the next few days, he is playing a four game tournament in sweden.

Either way, I'd rather have him on the ice instead of not.

The likely logical teams would be either Philly in the East or the Avs in the West.

However, my darkhorse teams are Ottawa if they dump Emery and his salary, or quite possibly Vancouver. Between Naslund and the Sedins, it would be a natural fit for Forsberg.

Don't discount Montreal...(i agree philly has the inside track though)

MTL has about 4 million in cap room and is looking to deal Koivu so they'll need another centreman.

And MTL is the most European of all NHL cities.

AND MTL will be in the playoffs this year with a legitimate chance at a cup if they make the right moves at the trade deadline.

My original prediction is looking to more and more likely. I said within two weeks, and that gives me until tuesday.

I mean, come on, you all have to know he wants to be a Flyer again.

Flyers or Sens. That's about all that's left.

Yes, Philly is most likely...I say 80% likely....HOWEVER,

Consider these facts,

Forsberg wants a contract for next year too.
MTL is looking to dump Ryder's 2 Million and Koivu's 5 Million.
MTL also has about 3-4 Million in Cap room for next year.

They can afford to sign Forsberg for this year and next year once they dump Ryder and Koivu.

MTL signs Forsberg for 4 Million and still has about 6 Million to pay an offensive defenseman like Campbell, Kaberle, Boyle.

If this doesn't work, i think they'll go for a guy like Prospal or Tanguay but i'd prefer Prospal's 2 million salary to Tanguay's 5 million.

I can't find any rumours about a Forsberg/Canadiens deal so perhaps the Canadiens or Forsberg have already said no thanks

I really can't see Forsberg jumping ship with the Canadiens. Its not impossible, and does make sense, but I just can't see it. I still think it'll be Philly, Colorado, or Vancouver.

The Sens are a longshot, especially now that Heatley is returning with Alfredsson soon to follow. Unless they manage to dump Emery or for some reason deal Redden to sign Forsberg (strong d-man for another star forward?), I doubt he'll end up there.

Of course, his foot could give out again, making this entire story moot...

He is the deciding factor:

His girlfriend is best friends with the flyers wives. If she has any say, which Im sure she probably does, it will definitely be philly. 😏

So it now appears that he may not be back at all, if ever again. His foot is continuing to give him problems, and his agent has notified all interested teams that it is unlikely that he'll return. Nothing definite, but you have to figure he's not coming this year, or probably ever again.
