Italy needs to reevaluate how they form their national team. Also need to revisit bringing in so many foreigners into their Serie A league. Champ Inter does not have a single Italian among their starters. Most leagues have a rule for minimum number of players to be nationals. Indeed NZ was a thorn in the Italian side and wounded their already wimpy psyche! I wish NZ had made it through, but it was not to be. The Italian dive and subsequent penalty did NZ in.

Take that to the debates forum spanky! Talkin' footie here. All countries present reforms needed. Soccer-wise Italy seems to have dropped in quality in their youth soccer. We have an international youth tournament in my home town. Have seen many future Italian national team players come through here as youths. Of late none seem to have made it to national team. Italy's team was old, decrepit and losing Buffon was costly. By comparison Brazil's, Spain's, Argentina's always great. The exceptio is Bolivia. Always sends great teams yet Bolivia has never been a football power.
