Maddux handcuffed the Cubs last night and left the game tied 1-1. He had more movement on his ball than I've seen in years. Great pitching. Maddux's last four starts have been four straight no-decision, but the Padres have won all four games, and Maddux could easily be 8-3 with a sub-3.00 ERA this year. I hope Maddux pitches five more years. Heck, make it ten.

On a side note, the Padres stopped the Cubs win streak at 9 meaning Cubs announcer Bob Brenley will not have to fulfill his bet and shave his mustache if the Cubs have a 10-game streak this year.
