USA 4 Canada 2 with 9:11 left in the third. Canada's about to go on a powerplay.

    Great game!

Edit: If USA wins Ryan Miller has got to be MVP. A ridiculous number of stops

What a game! Kudos to Ryan Miller.

Beating Canada on their own ice is no small feat.

    Miller played a great game!

Sometimes a goalie can steal a game or two in these short tourneys.

Dorn I missed the game. Two blasted days of curling then when I do not watch they show something I did want to see. Jeers to the J E R K S who show what I do not want to see and do not show what I do want to see.

Nothing has been won yet! Although by the celebration you would think the gold medal had been won. 😉

    Should be an interesting week!

During the game the commentator said the last time the US beat Canada was 1996. Not sure if it's the last one, but I know the US won gold in 1980 when they beat the Russians, dubbed the "Miracle on Ice"

Last night was an upset. Beating the Russians in 1980 was a freaking miracle. The Russians had only lost ONE game in 24 years. Their 1980 team beat the NHL All Star team 6-0! The Americans? A bunch of college kids! These kids were playing a cohesive hockey machine that had played together for years, and were arguably playing in two leagues above the American team.

The Americans winning absolutely defied all logic, much less the laws of probability. IMO calling last night's win over Canada "Miracle on Ice 2" does an injustice to the magnitude of the real miracle. It was a notable upset, not a miracle.

Last nights game was just an upset.
I still think it will be Canada vs Russia for the gold medal, and USA will take the Bronze medal.
