Padres make history again

I had a very vivid dream last week that the Padres would
win 4 games in a row by the score
of 2-1.

When I woke up I told my wife and of course she just casually dismissed
my ramblings. I told my boss at work who told me that it will never happen.

Then I spoke with my good friend who told me that
if my prediction came true he would pay for an all expenses paid
trip to Peru.

I guess I'll be booking my trip!

I had a hunch that 4 consecutive games with the score being 2-1 has probably never happened before and sure enough I wake up this morning, read the paper and
in the history of Major League Baseball, since the 1800's

It has never happened before.
I'm not afraid that my head is picking up on things as it has done
in the past, I'm just too tired to deal with it.

Whatever. I must make breakfast for my daughter now.

This reminds me of the year the Raven won the Super Bowl. They started off slow and then half way through the season I saw them play my Bungles. Well of course they beat my Bungles, as everyone else does, but what impressed me was the way they beat them. I was then so impressed with the Ravens that I told a friend of mine that the Ravens would win out and end up winning the Super Bowl. Of course, he just laughed at me and then challenged me to a $5 wage per game the Ravens played the rest of the year. I took him up on his offer and then proceeded to win every single game the rest of the year right through the Super Bowl!!! The next year, however, I felt kinda bad for taking all his money so I offered him a chance to win some back. I told him the next game my Bungles met his Steelers that I would take the Bungles with no points. He then proceeded to jump at the offer as I fully expected to give him some of his money back. However, a hand full of trick plays and a little luck and my Bungles beat his Steelers!! I can still see the expression on his face. He still refuses to ever wager with me EVER again till this very day. LOL.

Although I have nothing against the Padres and I think it is kind of cool to win a bunch of 2-1 games in a row, the truth is they can't hit at all. Here is good advice: save your money and don't bet on them.

Yeah, and you could've maybe made a couple phone calls on Sep. 10th, 2001 too!
