You could probably scramble up 5-14 a number of different ways.

And USA was robbed of at least one of those victories

If a team is REALLY good enough, they'll score so many goals, bad decisions wouldn't matter.

Just look at the current SA Rugby team for an example of this.

Uh... well... they have the advantage of not having to play a sport in which it is extraordinarily difficult to score.

The point, if you missed it, was not a comparison between sports.

If a team is good enough, they will score enough points against the opposing side to mitigate bad referee calls. No matter what the sport...

not always the case is it though. especially in football, look at the germany/serbia match. ref mistakenly sends off germany's best sticker and they lose 1-0. had he been playing he could've scored 3 or 4 with the chances the 10 men were creating.

most other sport use some sort of technology when it comes to scoring. football has nothing, i've seen it happen when team A should've had a pen or had a shot cross the line but it wasn't given and team B instantly go down and score at the other end. a 2-goal swing just because of a dodgy refereeing decision. that's huge.

Not many in your top 20 have won or drawn against Italy either, but I suppose you have to put a line in the sand somewhere.

Line could change by Friday.
