Some points:
-should go to weekly lineups in '09, it just got goofy in the playoffs.
-batting average is a crap fantasy statistic. obp would be much cooler.
-errors are also a crap fantasy statistic
Defense has never been a useful stat in Fantasy and should not be in the mix.
Why use lineups at all? Make it full roster elegible. Then you don't have to worry about hangovers, managerial screw-ups, rainouts, etc...
It will reward a team that is well rounded more than a team that has a few studs and a bunch of stiffs. The idea is to model real life isn't it?
I have successfully utilized these before for years and they will work they will produce a fair result.
