Rooney's still too hot-headed for the armband - the only obvious choice would be Stevie G in my opinion.

Terry out, Rio in. So ya'll Brits out there. Explain, please. Yank papers leave lots out. So is Terry off the squad or is he simply relinquishing the armband? If so a symbolic gesture which will accomplish nothing at all. Why is it any of Capello's business where Terry parks his gonads in any case? Capello chased quite a bit of tail in his day and probably still does, but has the good sense of staying away from controversial phallic garages. Italians partake of bumpin uglies like rabbits and the bonds of matrimony never seemed to get in the way of a wee bit phallic fun! I find the whole thing hypocrisy at its best!

if i was bridge (the player who was going out with the girl) i'd be blaming the girl who he's not going out with anymore anyway and who has been with a few footballers...
but i suspect even though it will Rio (if he's fit) wearing the armband in south africa terry will remain the vocal point in the defense.
big who-ha over some tramp that threatens to effect a nations soccer world cup. only in england. he got a pat on the back from the fa and media (capello) but i think he's seriously dented england's chances at the world cup.
