Will they admit they were stupid or continue to move on to picking on our other world class players like Lampard?

No wonder so many players don't enjoy playing for their Country anymore.

    oops wrong forum!

Becks is simply playing in an amazing way. You can tell how the whole team spins around his precise passing and his leadership.

Stupid Madrid let him go to L.A.

Don't worry, all the moaning English fans are just waiting in the wings for the next slip up. As soon as something goes slightly wrong they'll all be back on the band wagon bashing someone and calling for manager resignation.

i have a question? does anyone think that if D Beckams England career was still intact 6 months ago would he have moved? would he have looked into coming back to the UK? is it going to be impossible for him to play leauge and nationals so far away from eachother?

When did he last have a good game for England? Where was he hiding in all Chelsea's big games this season? He's a poor man's Gerrard, who's given an armchair ride by the Chelsea midfield.

"World Class"? (whatever it means!) No.
    Hugely overrated? Yup.

He is not as good as Gerrard granted. But Gerrard is in the running for best player in the world.

If Lampard went up for sale, every big club in the world would consider him.

His so called poor season for Chelsea? better than Shev/Ballack and a host of world stars. Scored loads, made load yet again. The pass in the cup final pure class.

His work rate for England is immense, his control in tight situtions immense, his attitude awesome. Can pass at pace, his shooting ability brilliant.

He has to play a holding role for England that makes Gerrard look good.

If Lampard came up for sale neither of the other 3 big clubs in England would be interested. Barcelona recently issued a statement saying that they weren't interested either. Using the following words

"We have got players like Deco, Xavi and Iniesta who have similar characteristics as well as amazing control of the ball. At the moment we are really happy with our trio of midfielders. So as things stand there really isn't space for another player of this type."

How can you say his shooting ability is "brilliant"? He has one of the poorest %'s of shot on target in the Prem. At the WC last year he had more shots than anyone else in the tournament and didn't score once!

As for the holding role and "looking good" everyone knows it's Gerrard who has had to hold the CM when playing with Lampard, even moving to the right and left occasionally to accomodate him. Quite simply, Lampard is a luxury that Chelsea (with players like Essien and Makalele) can afford, and England (who have a better option in Gerrard) cannot.

Now imagine Chelsea had someone in his luxurious position who could hit the target more often.

I am very serious. Last year he was voted best player in the premiership. Henry said it made him happy as it was obviously the right decision.

His goalscoring is phenomenal. He is strong and very fit.

His range of passing is top class.

I would rather have Gerrard than Messi or Ronaldhino.

Gerrard plays better when the team is playing badly and comes good at the right time.

    Absolute rubbish.

You are a fool to believe Spanish press releases. Real madrid were saying the same about Beckham before they bought him.

You understand nothing about football if you think Lampard is a luxury player.

True he plays under pressure for England and not at his best. Like Beckham, for people who jump on bandwagons and look for scapegoats he is an easy target.

Lampard has been a very big reason why Chelsea have been such a great team for the last 3 years. Unlike Ballack, Robben, Cole, Wright phillips, Parker and even Essien and Makalele etc etc etc Lampard is the guy Chelsea ALWAYS build their midfield around.

Name calling isn't going to get me to agree with you!
