How do you come up with those statistics? He had 493 homers in 17 seasons and was 39 when he retired. He could have played maybe five more years if he hadn't had the Lou Gherig disease. That means he would have had to hit 60 homers a year for 5 years straight. he was a great player but I don't believe he would have hit 800 homers. barring injuries A-Rod might do it. Look what happend to junior. He got hurt for 4 years stright and look at his homer projections now.
I am not saying he was the greatest home run hitter of all time but Gehrig was a righty in old Yankee stadium where left center was 463 feet. 493 home runs with out juiced balls or juiced players is fairly impressive.

THE BABE. He only did it on beer and hot dogs... That being said i am pretty sure he had something like 2,500 lees at bats than the great Hank Aaron did. Griffey is another outstanding HR slugger. Its a shame he was injured for all those years...

i just went to his site and to wikipedia and it said he was 37 when he died....
I would have to say Ken Griffey Jr. After all, he is the youngest to make it ot 500 home runs. Also note that he is not juiced. You could argue this fact, however, it is very apparent to me who is and is not juiced. Just look at how Bonds and Mcguire bulked up right before hitting all of those home runs. I pray he breaks the record set by Bonds so that the home run record will once again be legitimate.
