yes.. i did watch NZ in the tri-nations.. they were awasome...but here in Europe we are not as bad as you think.

Also i thing this being the first game of the competition, NZ will not Put out a first 15, where as Italy wilL really be up for it as it is their WORLD CUP FINAL

they'll have their strongest team out wanting to put on a show to scare the rest of the computation. can you imagine if france where playing well and saw that nz where struggling a bit? confident french team = quality french team.

NZ, Aus, France, and SA for semi finals.

Not sure about england...they will ofcourse make the q/f no problem, but then it depends on who they meet there

i don't like the way the seedings are based on previous world cups, a lot has happened in 4 years. ireland should be one of the top 4 seeds.

the sa england match should decide who gets to the semis. other than that unless ireland can pull an upset against france your other 3 teams should make the semis.

Sure, there are a few good European sides, England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales can all beat any side on a good day - Wales and Scotland are not looking too sharp this year, but they have the belief...

Italy, unfortunately, can be beaten by the under 19 team of any of the top 4 nations.

    OK, here are my picks:

    FRA 26 - ARG 15
    NZ 68 - ITA 17
    AUS 55 - JAP 11
    ENG 42 - USA 19
    WAL 28 - CAN 20
    SA 38 - SAM 20
    SCO 23 - POR 13
    IRE 54 - NAM 10

We'll do it in batches of 8 games.
Scores need to be submitted before kick-off in the first game of the batch.
I'll do a little Excel sheet for us to work out the points.

If Portugal score 4 points it will be a modern day miracle.....although if Stuart Dickenson is blowing the game anything is possible. He will probably award 4 points for 'good effort'
