One would be Yugoslavia, West Germany another, maybe USSR another?

None of the British teams entered the World Cup until 1950.

You seem to have a pathological interest in and dislike of the English- any reason why?

When I wrote the question I thought the answer was Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia.

West Germany might be a third.
