Bio
Co-Founder of the Cleveland Steamers, Dickie Manshatz was the three time greater Lake Erie Chess Champion (GLECC) from 1981-1984. His career was brought to a grinding halt after a devastating injury to his right thumb while operating an industrial grade bull neutering drill press. Never easily daunted, Manshatz strapped on a leather and steel artificial thumb, and has returned to the circuit once more.
