Bio

High point-draw against GM Roman Dzindzichashvili in probably his first online simultaneous exhibition. This was not on the WWW but after bankings hours on a banking network long before WWW. If my memory serves me correctly. I offered a draw. I had two rooks against his queen. He was gracious enough to accept.
Lots of low points-my rolled up shirt sleeve knocked over a piece and when I went to put it back, my opponent said I had to move it. Pieces went flying. I walked out of the door. DESC base championship, I did win it. Another time, a very young kid in the USCF Regional 5 Open Championship, when sitting in his chair, his legs too short to touch the ground, he kept rocking his feet hitting my pants legs, not my leg, just the pants leg, he kept hit my pants leg the whole game, when I got up, I played like I slipped and tried to kick him in the leg. I doubt if the kids was 14-15 years of age. He did have a Master from Wisconsin watching the whole game. The kid buried me with the Latvian counter-gambit. Darn kids.

Back when Booby Fisher got ever one playing chess, there was a lot of chess teams competing from various companies to Military Bases to Universities. I was lucky enough to play both for The University of Dayton....we were a club and I had a car, and DESC, the Defence Electric Supply Center. City of Dayton had a very nice chess club..very activity Friday nights at the city library. Every Sunday I would drive to the University of Cinninati to play in a Tornado (fast time control) Chess Tournament. I worked the grave yard shift and would go with out sleep for a couple of days.

Played a lot of postal chess, Golden Knights. One time I had a guy fly in unexpected to meet me. I had family (young kids) and was reluctant to let him in. Seemed like a nice guy. I should have taken him out for dinner and a drink but it was Friday night and the family had plans.

That was many years ago when the brain worked a little better. May God Bless.
