Many apologies for the site outage during the last few hours.

We are currently investigating to see if we can find out what caused it.

Kind Regards,
Chris

Thanks for the apology. I don't mind others making mistakesor sites going down, but I can't stand it when they don't apologize for the incident, whether it was their fault or not. (If a site goes down, an apology is in order, like the one that was posted.)

Sorry, I disagree... Why to apologize? Russ and Chris are making an excellent work to keep this site growing and going better and better day after day.

No apologies, Chris. We can understand. Only a note to us leting us to know that there was a technical problem will suffice.
And will demonstrate your commiment in your work.

That is enough for me. More than enough,

- J

P.S.: No apology is in order. That's my point.

All sites go down for some reason or other. It's not deliberate, except for routine maintenance, as reliability is a key selling point. So long as time is added to timeouts/timebanks etc there should be no damage unless a player is going away the day the outage occurs. That's just bad luck.

I think redhotpawn is one of the best chess sites around and it continues to develop. keep up the good work.

My non-star rec to your post.
I can't afford the money to buy a subscription. But I try to support the service, in any way, they bring to me.
Oh well... I should be playing Hearts on my poor windows machine.

THANKS!

I noticed that the daily Clan League updates have stopped. Is this planned or due to one of the outages?
