I quite like Daniel King's Youtube Channel (PowerPlayChess). I suspect he will be covering the World Championship.

This was like multiple blogs in one!

That book is very highly regarded, and if you like it, then it is clearly an endgame book of truly biblical proportions.

I always enjoy these blogs and this is no exception.

I think endgames just have an image problem. Maybe they should be rebranded as: "when the opponent doesn't have many bits left" chess, and people would be more enthusiastic about them.
Also I know Paul Keres was featured on an Estonian banknote, but I never suspected a whole museum! Wouldn't it be fantastic if that waxwork was wired up somehow (like the Turk).

As GP said, he's the housewives favorite. 😀

During the last World Championship I watched his and Chessnetwork's game summaries on Youtube. I liked both, though I'd have to give the nod to Chessnetwork for being a bit more lively.

The TV cameras like Danny King, he also has a good TV voice and explains
things very well to the less learned viewer (and the drooling housewives.)

He has kept his eye in with his monthly 'How good is Your Chess' column
in CHESS which was and is often the best piece in the whole magazine.

I thought- Nope! Trade leads to dead draw, then I saw the answer on your blog! Nice bamboozle 🙂

Then Black played Kb8!! and now the d-pawn ran home.
