Or, considering the nature of the illnesses, essentially orphan illnesses which means only a few thousand people get it a year, then, governments around the world should subsidize these drugs so people can actually get well. It would seem to me people are worth more alive than dead so the subsidy would have payback in keeping that person alive and doing his or her job in a normal live which also includes collecting taxes which would eventually pay for the drugs.
It literally means as it stands now, the rich get richer and the poorer get dead.
