Do you think you could survive in the Canadian wilderness in a log cabin? What would you do if you encountered a wolf, fox, coyote, or bear, just to mention a few of natures animals. What would you do for food & heat? May not be as simple as you think, old friend.

I would become like Grizzly Adams and all the animals would love and trust me, I'd send a Golden Eagle out to bring me back veggie burgers and I'd burn wood for heat in winter and build a water wheel to keep me cool in summer. Clearly my presence in Canada is needed.
