Leaving the world of politics for a bit, here is a discussion of the possible number of moves in a game of chess by 2 different mathematicians. Which one seems more accurate? Sorry about the small sales pitch at the end (it doesn't last long)

That's it!

Hillary and Trump should play a game of chess, live on TV!

Everything revolves around Hillary and Trump.

I do hope you're trying to be funny. The royal game is so far above Hillary and Trump, they shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence. Chess will be around when these two are tiny footnotes in world history.

If you payed attention, they are both estimates and they make different assumptions. So the accuracy depends on what you are estimating. The larger estimate is more accurate for the number of theoretically possible games and the smaller number is more accurate for the number of more reasonable games.

Trump announces he will build a wall across the board. His supporters go wild. Trump announces that he doesn't play chess with women, and walks out. His supporters say the game was rigged from the beginning.
The chess game is covered by every media outlet in the world despite only having 3 moves and being well on the way to fools mate.

I wasn't trying to draw a conclusion here, just wondering what figure you thought to be more accurate.
