The first election interference case, monday.

Does anyone here think the trial against Trump is hush money?
It is in fact election interference because he paid a porn star to keep quiet about him paying a hooker just a few days before the election, which benefited Trump directly, if the news he had sex with a hooker the same week his son was born just before the election there would have been a lot of folks disgusted about that and switch votes or not vote at all. So he literally interfered with the election.
And this is just the FIRST interference case to go to trial.

We were hoping it would result in jail time but that clearly won't happen before the election in November because even if found guilty and sentenced to jail he can appeal and appeal again and the most likely outcome if found guilty would be probation anyway so there will be no jail time for our former criminal in chief.

If he is reelected it will literally start the darkest days in US history since the civil war, this time direct attack on the constitution.

Right now Speaker of the house Trump is sponsoring a bill requiring all voters to prove they are American citizens to prevent aliens from voting but the deal there is there is already a federal law outlawing aliens from voting but that doesn't matter to Trump, just weaponizing the vote system for his own agenda. His puppet Johnson will do whatever his boss Trump says to do so that makes Trump de facto speaker of the house.

He already proved that by having his puppet Johnson kill the best border bill to come along in decades so Biden would get no credit.

So now he is in it again fukking with voters.

I'll wait to hear what Trump actually did. Paying a porn star to be silent about an affair isn't criminal. What ELSE did he do?

"Depriving the voters of information?" Meh. There's no law against that or we would have no politicians left.

This case is really an election interference case — just as are the criminal cases charging him with seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Together, they establish an ongoing pattern: Trump will do anything to gain and keep power, even if his actions violate the nation’s laws.

This case alleges that in 2016 Trump arranged to pay off an adult entertainer in order to hide his affair with her from the public. The important thing to keep in mind is that the money was given to protect Trump’s campaign for the presidency — not to protect his marriage or protect him from personal embarrassment.

The entire purpose of the payoff was to help Trump become president.

Had its sole purpose been to hide a personal sexual affair, it would not have been criminal.

It was criminal because Trump interfered in an election. He violated campaign finance laws. He deprived voters of information that might have affected their votes. Trump then sought to cover it up with false entries in business records."

There have been plenty of POTUS with sexual relations like Kennedy with Marylin Monroe and Monica but that was sex pure and simple. Trump's deal was anything but. Besides the implications for elections, what kind of morality do you have to have to have sex with a hooker the same week as your son is born?
