Funny post trimming

I was trying to reply to a post in the Posers an Puzzles forum and for some unknown reason the post kept on being trimmed. I didn't use any offensive language but the post had some math symbols in it. I took care of it now by uploading what I wnated to write as an image but I still don't get was wrong with my post.

I think I got it. If you type the less than mathematical sign everything that follows disappears. Just like this abcdef

abcd < efgh. Don't follow the less than symbol with a number, and you should be ok, I think.
