Notebook won't save

usually when I open the notebook function, I can type something in but I don't get the option to save it. It's gone when I come back to that game. Thoughts?

Counter-intuitive as it may seem - you need to hit 'Submit move' to save notebook entries.
As long as you haven't actually made a move, then just the notebook entry is saved.
