Recently, while I put myself on vacation, on one of 5 games I was in the middle off, I was timed out and lost. I wrote RHP a week ago about it and have not had it corrected. What should I do? Thanks.
Players need to be aware that GMT timezone is used for vacation settings, and add an extra day at either start or end to allow for this. The OP may have been unaware that the vacation "day" ends several hours earlier than his own timezone's day.
Thanks for all of your ideas. I checked on when my vacation ended and it ended at midnight GMT on 04-16. My opponent made his last move at 16:04 GMT on 04-17. However, the game was a 3 day per move and I made a move at 01:00 GMT on 04-18. That is 9 hours after my opponents last move, we'll within the 3 day limit. When I put myself on vacation, I had 2 days left to move.
Do I have any recourse, since the loss lowered my rating quite a bit?

If you read the information on your "vacation settings" page, at the bottom left side it states: "Timebank will continue to deplete during a vacation." So if it's your turn to move, the clock will continue to run down and the timebank will then also run down.
The vacation setting only prevents someone from claiming a timeout win. It does not stop the clock.
I did not know that the clock continues to run during a vacation. It makes me wonder what good it does to be on vacation unless one includes the day one comes back as one of the vacation days. Now I will know to do that, so thanks for enlightening me.
