... for A.T. with Affection and Respect:

(mildly astonished with the counterpoint of tenderness and strength)

Note: "A.T." has been our affectionate nickname (All Talk) for scacchipazzo in our Private NFL Pool during the past few seasons.

You are courting with Tadone making an official appearance with his kneecap breaking implements! LOL

He's already amputated one leg (at the groin).

This retrospective of a girl's early years brings to mind Thomas Mann's words:
"Oh, the urgency and sacred pangs of youth."

For that anxious girl above:

Mario Benedetti

- Translated by Carlos Reyes

Haiku

I would like
to look at everything from a distance
but with you

*

since biblical times
the sky and the nude
have sinned together

*

unanimous obscurity
there remains only a lantern
that asks for help

*

after all
death is only a sign
that there was life

*

only the bat
understands the world
but in reverse

*

in reason
the only doubts that enter
are those with keys

*

when I gathered up
my complete insomnias
I fell asleep

Wouldn't it have been nice to have written this one?

(maybe read it slowly to your wife tomorrow night)

Writing poetry of any kind, let alone like what you posted would be an awesome experience. Perhaps we should all try it periodically. We write with care so infrequently.

If your inner beauty doth match your outer beauty then you are of great heart, mind and strength.
When I happen upon a gaze, I am melted into a yield of your shadowing hold I have desired.
I never approached you to utter a word, and yet my form melts about you in each moment you pass, that I may be enfolded into your wings, that may lift me and permit flight with you..........
