You know, I'm constantly surprised at how good some of these submittals are. This will take some consideration.

Do you think VR will need to make a deal with the devil to be able to figure out how to vote?

How fab! Some really interesting reads. Very hard to pick which ones I enjoyed the most.

1. Nightscape
2. Georgia Epilogue
3. The Godspite Deal

I can't say I enjoyed Chasm but it was well written. I don't really like horror stories, espically when children are involved.

Just out of interest, you do realise the topic was 'Satanic Prose' don't you?

Yes! Of cause I do. It was just a bit dark for me, personal prefrence. I wasn't going to vote for it, but I did want to say something in recognition of it's creativeness.

Ask me tomorrow and I'll probably vote differently - good quality entries all round.

1. Georgia Epilogue - Pulled at the Southerner in me.
2. Chasm - Disturbing if somewhat predictable.

1. nightscape - some excellent scene setting and visualisation. 5 points.
2. something devilish. not sure about the blind man. either not needed or introduce him earlier. felt rushed at the end, but i like the general feel. again good visualisation and a nice twist with the final line. 3 points.
3. HOW MÖTLEY CRüE BROKE MY HEART. sympathy vote? no. it had a nice (broken) heart, and appealed to me. i also happen to love bukowski so that namecheck didn't hurt... 2 points.

Honorable mention to "Something Devilish". I thought it started well, but the ending could have used some work.

Great work, everyone!
