I love warm oatmeal on a cold morning, especially with a pat of butter, a spoonful of cinnamon and a half-cup of lowfat milk, because this is the way my mom used to make it on cold mornings to get me out the door to school. A memory comfort food.

I love an occasional rainy day in the summer because then I can stay inside, clean the place and do other things that I have postponed for a while, without feeling I'm wasting a beautiful day.
