I love beef stew, carrots, potatoes, fresh or frozen peas, canned greenbeans ( fresh are out of season. Frozen are rubbery) corn etc in a gravy

In the USA a casserole is about any food baked in a casserole dish. Stew is usually like a soup with gravy instead of broth. Then there's other types of stew. Pinto beans, salt pork and canned tomatoes is pinto bean and pork stew.
