Not since I was a teenager when music inspired me and I thought I was going to be great at something.

Now I don't care.

Greatness was not achieved so now I'm just a thief.

Maybe I could become a GREAT theif 🤔

i used too
not so much anymore
a large number of my heroes and idols of the music world turned out to be proficient in their musicianship but horrible human beings, so i wait for a different kind of sign, other than a new release

i am curious tho, is there a specific artist/album/score you are awaiting?

I am always awaiting the arrival of various things with varying degrees of blue-veined tumescence. My OP was triggered by the arrival of the sorely awaited Frank Zappa - Mudd Club/Munich '80 (Live) (2023).

The latest album by The Church [Hypnogogue] arrived three days ago after a six-year wait. I have been following them since the early 80s.

I eagerly await the return of TV series I like, too.
