I can only speak for myself. I find it very emotional, dramatic and a little scary in its variations.
That's about as far as I can describe it in English.

'Suggestive' may not have been the right word - it is 'suggestiv' in Swedish (dramatic, exciting).

Yes. The 10th was thought to be Shostakovich's celebration of the death of Stalin, his nemesis.
