I am extremely colorblind, when taking my military physical, if I had missed one more test board, I would not have even been allowed to join. My current job requires electrical control work. The wires are generally color coded, when I see a red, green , and brown wire, I use different tricks to distinguish them, like one shade may be "darker" than the others, or I will twist two together, and check them with an ohm meter. Most color blind people learn to adapt, and do not even notice that we see differently, we see like we've always seen

I can't be bothered by seeing any numbers either. I see colors, I just don't know what they are. Real men have color blindness.

about the sky comment, when my friends see grey i see a beautiful green. ;-) sucks to see real colors.

I'm not...
But a good friend of mine is and he works in A/V. Of course the mike wires are all color coded and he can't tell... He has his methods as well.
